Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility

  • You must be an Indian resident with a valid Indian mobile number and a bank account in a UPI-participating bank.

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or as per app-specific terms).

2. User Responsibilities

  • Keep your UPI PIN confidential. Do not share it with anyone.

  • Ensure your mobile number is linked with your bank account.

  • Regularly check transaction history and report unauthorized activity immediately.

3. UPI PIN

  • Acts as your authentication for any transaction.

  • Created during UPI registration and stored securely.

  • You’re responsible for all transactions made using your PIN.

4. Fees

  • As of now, most UPI transactions are free for users.

  • Charges may apply for merchant payments or in future policy changes (apps must notify you in such cases).

5. Dispute Resolution

  • Raise complaints via your UPI app or bank.

  • TAT (Turnaround Time) for resolution: Usually within 3 to 7 working days.

6. Data Privacy

  • Your data is protected under IT Act 2000 and RBI guidelines.

  • Data may be shared with banks, regulators, or authorized third parties under strict controls.

  • Data is localized and stored within India.

7. Prohibited Uses

  • No use of UPI for money laundering, illegal betting, or activities violating law.

  • Banks have the right to block transactions or users in such cases.

8. Liability

  • You are liable for transactions made using your device/PIN unless you report fraud promptly.

  • The app/bank is liable for technical or systemic failures under certain conditions.

9. Suspension/Termination

  • Services may be suspended for reasons like suspicious activity, breach of terms, or inactivity.

  • You may also voluntarily deregister anytime via your app.
